Motivation Monday – Your Food is Your Medicine
Over the past 62 years, we as a society have gotten away from the fact that food is our most effective and critical medicine. As big pharmaceutical companies started to push their pills on us, society has stopped thinking of food as medicine.
It is time to change that. In fact, there is one macronutrient above all the others that can heal your body. That macronutrient is DIETARY FATS!
We need to view FATS as a powerful tool that you can use in your daily lives to help make major improvements in your health
Dietary Fats are our Best Medicine
Yes, dietary fats have the ability to improve hormone balance in the body, increase anabolic hormones, decrease cortisol and improve brain function.
Fat is the ultimate macronutrient that we want to get into our body to help improve our bodies’ ability to function. Yet, still, so many people in society are AFRAID OF FAT.
So, my motivation to you today is to start to look at dietary fats differently. See them as a powerful tool that you can use in your daily lives to help make major improvements in your health.
I would also encourage you to shift your focus away from starchy carbohydrates. Reduce and eliminate these types of foods from your lifestyle, as starchy carbohydrates increase insulin production. An increase production of insulin will tell the body to store the foods you eat as body fat.
The right type of foods can heal your body. Like Hippocrates said, so many, many moons ago…. Let Food be Thy Medicine and Thy Medicine be Thy Food!
